The heart of the Klein Karoo Farm Accommodation
Klein Karoo Valley Guest Farm is situated in the little valley of Opzoek, surrounded by the majestic Swartberg mountains, in the heart of the Klein Karoo. Easily accessible 1km off the famous Route 62, it is centrally situated in between Ladismith and the Port Capital of Calitzdorp.
The Farm offers a luxurious family self-catering cottage next to a big dam and a limited amount of camping spots with basic ablution block for farm style private camping.

The cottage is privately located on our farm a fair distance away from the main house.
Cozy in the Winter
The inside fireplace offers our guests a warm cottage during chilly nights. Just bring a bag of wood.

The Cottage
The beautiful restored self-catering cottage in the Opzoek Valley is fully equipped with everything to feel at home. It has one bedroom with a King size bed, which can be converted into a twin if required. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge and all linen and towels are supplied.
The Bathroom features a Shower and a Jacuzzi Bath. The Kitchen is fully equipped for Self Catering with gas hob, fridge/freezer & microwave.
The Veranda with it’s picturesque views of the Dam and the majestic Swartberg Mountains, has a Built in Braai. Bird life and tranquility surround you.
You are welcome to bring the whole family including furry faces (by arrangement)
The cottage is wheelchair friendly.
Free Wifi connection is available in the cottage.
The farm was recently converted to Off-Grid so there won’t be any power outages.
Farm Camping
Additional to our cottage, we have 3 camping spots available. One next to the cottage that can be rented and used together with the cottage under a beautiful Pepper tree, and two camp sites are situated close to the dam and are very private.
Additionally, we offer group camping of up to 10 people as long as the group is happy with one shower, basin and Toilet as well as a kitchen cleaning sink.
If you are fully setup for Off Grid overland setup and would like to camp in the wild, then you can choose a spot on the farm where you are absolutely alone and private.
A basic ablution block with a hot shower, basin, toilet and kitchen cleaning sink is provided.
Please note that this is not a caravan park setup, it is rather farm style camping that offers private camping with no to very few people around.

Things to do in the area..
Besides a quiet and relaxed stay in our beautiful Opzoek Valley, there are also many things to do along the scenic R62.
Cycle or drive the nearby Seweweekspoort Pass. Other beautiful passes in the area are The Huisrivier, Rooiberg and Swartberg Passes.
Enjoy walks on the farm or a number of hikes available in the Swartberg Mountains. Visit the little Mission town of Zoar.
The award-winning Port Town of Calitzdorp is always worth a visit.
Oudtshoorn can be visited on a day trip where you can do Ballooning, Meerkat Tours, visit the Cango Caves or Ostrich farms.
